Janice Rega

Janice Rega holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications from New York University. She has always been drawn to the fast-paced rhythm of city life, while still cherishing the quieter charm of the suburban town where she grew up. A passionate traveler, Janice has visited 12 countries—often choosing destinations based on their connection to her favorite stories, including several Harry Potter filming locations.

When she isn’t exploring new places, Janice is happiest at home with her loyal chocolate Labrador, Bella—her constant companion and the reason she always comes back. ABOUT

Some memories are lost. Others are rewired.

Nineteen-year-old Avery Matthews has the perfect
freshman year planned at Westlake University with her
twin brother and their two lifelong friends. Then she
meets Easton Reed, a charming British exchange student
hiding his royal heritage, and falls deeply in love. But when
a catastrophic accident leaves Avery with a traumatic
brain injury, she wakes from a three-month coma to a
bewildering reality—she remembers everyone in her life
but feels no romantic connection to the boyfriend
everyone says she adored. Instead, she's inexplicably
drawn to Connor, her childhood friend she'd always seen
as a brother.

As Avery struggles to reconcile what everyone tells her
about her past with what her heart now feels, she faces
impossible choices that strain every relationship in her
life. During a summer at Easton's family estate, tensions
reach a breaking point, leading Avery to make a dramatic
decision that forces her to confront the most challenging
question of all: If she can never be the person everyone
remembers, is it better to fight for her past or embrace
who she's becoming? "Fragments of Before" is a moving
exploration of identity, memory, and whether love can
survive when the heart itself has been rewired.
